Anybody has information about the accident on 3 June 1942 when 3 former Doolittle Raiders were K.I.A./ M.I.A.?

The accident of 3 June 1942

About the accident. What happened?

Engineer/gunner Sergeant Omar Duquette (Crew 12)  was killed in action (MIA) on the same day as Sergeant Melvin Gardner (Crew 11) and Lieutenant Eugene McCurl (Crew 05) on 03 June 1942. In fact all 3 are missing in action on 3 June 1942 after a bombing mission over Lashio, Burma, now Myanmar. Their planes crashed into a mountain.

Does anybody has more info about this accident? If you have, please send. Then we can publish an article on this website. Ofcourse I will give you credit as contirbutor or copy right holder if you write a text about this accident.

death message

So far I found this ;  The 341st Bomb Group history noted that on June 3, 1942, six B–25s departed Dinjan for transfer to Kunming, disregarding adverse weather reports. Three of the ships followed each other into a mountain, one was shot down, one ran out of gas, and only one made it to Kunming. The treacherous, cloud-socked mountains were often more deadly than the Japanese. (I found this in the article about the plane crash of Robert Gray and George Larkin)

I regret that more complete information cannot be furnished says the note. So somewhere there must be more information about the accident.
